Young Adult Ministry (Ages 18-24) at UUSP
Welcome to the Young Adult Ministry at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Saint Petersburg! This ministry is dedicated to supporting emergent young adults, ages 18-24, who are navigating the transition from adolescence to adulthood. This stage, defined by the Unitarian Universalist Association as "emergent adulthood," is a unique and dynamic period marked by exploration, self-discovery, and the establishment of one's identity and values.
We recognize that the needs of young adults are diverse and evolving. Our ministry is currently a work in progress, and we are excited to expand our offerings in the spring of 2025. As we build this community, we seek to create a space that is safe, inclusive, and loving—a place where young adults can connect, grow, and support one another.
Volunteer Support Needed:
To achieve our vision, we invite volunteers who are passionate about nurturing the spiritual and personal growth of young adults. We particularly welcome support in the following areas:
College Assistance and Financial Support: Helping young adults navigate educational opportunities and manage financial challenges.
Yoga and Mindfulness: Facilitating practices that promote mental well-being and holistic health.
Learning How to Vote: Educating young adults on civic engagement and the importance of voting.
Community Building: Creating opportunities for young adults to connect, share experiences, and build meaningful relationships.
Providing a Safe, Loving Atmosphere: Ensuring that our ministry is a welcoming and supportive space for all.
We are enthusiastic about the possibilities that lie ahead and look forward to the full launch of our expanded ministry in the spring of 2025. Exciting Technology Internship Opportunities at Our Unitarian Universalist Church!
Are you a college student looking to gain valuable experience in a supportive and dynamic environment? Our Unitarian Universalist Church is thrilled to offer technology internships, providing an excellent opportunity for hands-on learning and professional growth.
Interns will work closely with our Director of Religious Education and Communications, a USF professor, and our Office Manager. This collaboration ensures comprehensive guidance and mentorship throughout your semester.

Our Unitarian Universalist Church is dedicated to supporting youth who may be at risk or have committed non-violent offenses. We work to provide a safe, welcoming environment where young people can earn community service hours for scholarships and probation requirements.
Our program is designed to help teens develop skills, build confidence, and make positive connections within our community. We offer various volunteer opportunities and activities that foster personal growth and a sense of belonging.
