This Sunday: The 8th Principle: Leaning Into Our Vulnerabilities to Learn and Grow

Watch the Livestream

The 8th Principle has resulted from several grass roots efforts across our denomination. The intent is to bring focus to building a diverse multicultural Beloved Community by dismantling racism and other oppressions in ourselves and institutions.  Looking inward is often a vulnerable process — but with the love and support of one another we have the potential to be stronger not only personally but as a community. Voting to go down that path is a choice— an individual and communal choice.

We recognize the vast differences in the spiritual experience and impact of racism on Black, Indigenous, People of Color, and other people marginalized when compared to that of the dominant culture.  Because of those differences, we will have two separate talk back sessions after the service.   Folks will meet  in the sanctuary for a discussion facilitated by Christine Barker.
