Do you want to become a member of UU St. Pete?

Rev Ben Atherton-Zeman will be holding two membership classes for those who have been attending services and getting to know who we are over the past several months. While there are no pre-requisites to attending classes, we do want those considering membership to have experienced who we are as a congregation including attending services and participating in some of our activities.

Becoming a member is a meaningful spiritual step that invites you into a covenantal relationship with our congregation. Attending membership classes will give you a better understanding of our UU history and our seven principles and allow you to get to know each other.

Membership Classes will be held after Social Hour at 12:00 p.m. on the following dates:

Sunday, June 4
Sunday, June 11

Membership Sunday will be Sunday, June 18 for those who have attended both classes, made an annual financial pledge to support our congregation, and signed the membership book. Signing the membership book is a sacred vow to uphold the principles of Unitarian Universalism.

If you are ready to take the next step, please contact Cheyenne Collins at officeadmin@uustpete.org and let her know you will be attending membership classes. If you have questions, please contact either Vanda Sucheston Hughes (vandaoriana7@gmail.com) or Carol Ulmer (carolulmer5@gmail.com), Membership Team co-chairs, or Rev. Ben at minister@uustpete.org.

Not ready to become a member?

There is no rush. We want you to experience Sunday services, engage in some of our activities, and get to know the people of our congregation before you commit to becoming a member. It is an important decision and commitment that only you can make. Membership classes are held once a quarter.
