On Friday, December 16 at 4:30 PM the community will unite to honor the persons who died in Pinellas County in 2022 while experiencing homelessness. The service will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 100 Mirror Lake Drive in St. Petersburg.
The powerful one-hour interfaith memorial will feature selections from sacred scriptures, a reading of names of the people who died while homeless, a candle-lighting ceremony, and a procession. Please plan to join us. This fifteenth annual interfaith observance is Celebrate Outreach’s local observance of National Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day, which is held on or near December 21, the longest night of the year. Following the service, a to-go dinner will be served in memory of those who have died. For more information, or to volunteer, contact Sabine von Aulock at beandex@aol.com.
