A Special Congregational Meeting for the Unitarian Universalist Church of St. Petersburg will be held in the sanctuary on Sunday, September 11, 2022, at 12:00 pm.

The Board appointed a three-member Nominating Committee to nominate five Search Committee members and two alternates. The members of the Nominating Committee are Susan Burnore, Laurie Clement, and Todd Wellman. The Nominating Committee was charged with identifying individuals who are representative of the church membership.
As reported at the August 18 Board of Trustees meeting, “the Nominating Committee’s guiding idea was trust – that the congregation must trust the eventual Search Committee.” The Nominating Committee created a slate of “as diversified a Search Committee as we could muster.” Because the Nominating Committee has put such care into the selection of the Search Committee and Alternates, they ask that the congregation approve the candidates as a slate, without changes.
The Nominating Committee presents the following slate of candidates, each of whom has consented to be nominated
For the Minister Search Committee:
Jeff Bambrough
Morgan Gresham
Vanda Hughes
Julie Newcomb
Linda Paul
For the Alternates:
Andy Bragg
Karen Frank
The Bylaws provide that additional candidates may be nominated as follows: a written nomination, signed by at least three (3) members of the church, as well as the signature (indicating consent to the nomination) of the nominee, must be filed with the Board of Trustees at least one (1) week prior to the meeting. Such additional nominees shall be listed on the official ballot, together with those submitted by the Nominating Committee.
