Social Justice Committee – Viewing of the documentary Racially Charged: America’s Misdemeanor Problem

Please join the Social Justice Committee for a viewing of the documentary Racially Charged: America’s Misdemeanor Problem.  It will be shown on Wednesday, February 2nd  at 7 pm via Zoom.  The film exposes how our country’s history of racial injustice evolved into an enormous abuse of criminal justice power.  13 million people a year—most of them poor and people of color—are abused by this system.  This 35-minute documentary will be followed by a short discussion.  It highlights why FAST is working to expand the county’s civil citation program.  For more information, please visit https://misdemeanorfilm.org/ If you are unable to make the viewing and discussion, you can still watch this important film by visiting the website.
