Dear Friends,

Earth’s northern hemisphere is celebrating the Season of (Coming) Light – which can seem sadly contrary for some since these months are long on depressing darkness. Perhaps the enlightened ones and the light of the world offer as therapy the seeking of the light of mind and spirit (or Florida vacations).

I’m feeling enlightened this month by our Zoom discussions on the seven UU principles – Wednesdays (10am, 7pm), Sundays (9:15am). What they mean to us is surprisingly complex and sometimes as confusing as Alice’s winter journey through the inner world of the looking glass.

The Principles ask, What’s there behind your image in the mirror? They ask what it affirms and what it promotes. Our discussions are shining some light.
