Events of the 2010s have shaped the spirit of our country in 2020.  While general stability and prosperity are evident to some, others have experienced distrust and fatigue.  Some believe the drumbeat of negative news left us with a mood of general malaise and confusion.

On Monday January 20 we celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. How can he and contemporary activists like Greta Thunberg help in our troubled times? How can we temper our own spirits back to good health and enrich our collective mood?

As the events of the past year and decade are assessed, we also assess ourselves. Sometimes we make resolutions to make changes that better meet our personal goals. Our actions and aspirations can also benefit our collective spirit.
