 Our Parish Nurses

Linda Hoffmeister RN  Leah Glendening MPS,RN

What is a Parish Nurse?

"The Parish Nurse is a pastorally called, spiritually mature, licensed Registered Nurse with a desire to serve his/her congregation in a volunteer capacity. Parish nursing is both ministry and the professional practice of nursing, recognized by the American Nurses Association."*

At UU St. Pete, we have two Parish Nurses - Linda Hoffmeister, RN, and Leah Glendening, MPS, RN.  To find out more about the role of a parish nurse and a sampling of parish nurse activities click here.
