Save the Date: Roy Zimmerman In Concert

Friday, February 22, 2019 - 7:30pm

Location: Sanctuary

Preparations begin at 6:00, concert begins at 7:30.

What can one person do about racism, gun violence, climate change, income inequality, bigotry, ignorance, war and greed? "Write funny songs," says Roy Zimmerman. Over twenty years on stages, screens and airwaves across America, Roy has brought the sting of satire to the struggle for Peace and Justice. The Los Angeles Times once said that "Zimmerman displays a lacerating wit and keen awareness of society's foibles that bring to mind a latter-day Tom Lehrer." His concerts bring laughter and encouragement to progressive-minded people who need a lot of both these days. "Sometimes I think satire is the most hopeful form of expression," says Roy, "because in calling out the world's absurdities and laughing in their face, I'm affirming the real possibility for change."
