Tuesday Meditation and Brown Bag Lunch Hour

Every Tuesday from 11:45am - 12:15p,:
Meditation For All
, regardless of meditation experience. Easy guidance offered. Join the circle at any time, for 5 minutes or 30.

Afterward, stay for a brown bag lunch and conversation for as long as your lunch break allows.

Location:  Gilmour Hall (entrance located to the right of the main church entrance (up the ramp). The church faces Mirror Lake and parking is located on the north side of the church.)Directions can be found at the church website.

 

Wednesday Evening Mindfulness Meditation

Day and Time: The St. Petersburg Sangha meets every Wednesday evening from 7:00pm to 8:30pm.

Location: Unitarian Universalist Church, located at 100 Mirror Lake Drive No, St. Petersburg, Florida 33701. The Sangha meets in Gilmour Hall which has an entrance located to the right of the main church entrance (up the ramp). The church faces Mirror Lake and parking is located on the north side of the church. Directions can be found at the church website.

Description: The St. Petersburg Sangha offers participants an opportunity to pause in their busy schedules to join others in mindfulness meditation to support living mindfully. We practice in the engaged Buddhism tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh and meet weekly for meditation, mindfulness practice and Buddhist teachings. .

Format: Please arrive about 10 minutes early. Enter the meditation room quietly after removing your shoes in the entry.  Then find a seat on a cushion or chair and settle in. At 7:00pm, we will practice mindfulness sitting meditation for 30 minutes, walking meditation for 10 minutes, then listen to a Dharma talk or share in a guided meditation, and finally participate in a Dharma discussion. Everyone is invited to share a cup of tea after the discussion.  Newcomer orientations are offered the first Wednesday of each month at 6:00pm.
