Special UUSP Announcements for this Week

STARTING THIS WEEK: October test runs for three new UUSP programs.  We plan to make these activities part of the regular UUSP program if they draw sufficient interest.  Pastor Jack

 

Starting This Monday Evening (October 1) Meditation, 5:30-6:15pm in Gilmour Hall.   Facilitator: UUSP member Mimi Anzel.

 

Starting This  Wednesday Morning (October 3) Meditation, 7:30am-8:00am in Gilmour Hall, coffee and tea following.  Facilitator: Pastor Jack

 

Starting This Thursday Midday (October 4) Citizens CafĂ©, 11:30am – 1:00pm, to chat about the news of the day – and perhaps write a politician or two (wi-fi, pens, paper, envelopes provided along with officials’ addresses).  Coffee/Tea provided; BYO Lunch if desired.  Facilitator: Pastor Jack -  jfdonovan@bellsouth.net

  • October 10:  “The Harvard Divinity School Address” by Ralph Waldo Emerson (1838);
  • October 17:   “The Transient and Permanent in Christianity” by Theodore Parker;
  • October 24:  “Frankenstein” by Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley (1818) – cheaply available on Amazon – 166pp.
