Rev. Jack

Pastor Jack would appreciate emails from UUSP members new and longer-term with whom he hasn’t met recently for a kind of annual check-in, letting him know your best times for a visit.  jfdonovan@bellsouth.net

Parking Lot Roundtable Discussions: July 9 at 9:30am

Sunday, July 9, 2017 - 9:30am - 10:30am

Location: Gilmour Hall

The parking lot roundtable discussions have been moved from after the Sunday service to BEFORE the Sunday service, from 9:30am - 10:30am. This event has been moved because it conflicted with the membership committee’s Greeters Party after the Sunday service.

The objective of these discussions is to understand the facts about the Wannemacher Jensen offer to buy parcel 1 of our parking lot, and to give everyone an opportunity to ask questions and express comments. Board members will host these roundtables and will take notes so that everyone can read about the discussions. Last Sunday’s discussion notes have already been posted on our UUStPete website in the "Documents" area under Get Involved.

RE Corner

Youth: Join us this Sunday for Be The Change!  This program gives Unitarian Universalist (UU) youth a starting place for discussions about the role of race, identity and justice in living out their faith. Youth class begins at 10:30 in the library.

Elementary Students: Join Trish and Joe for Windows and Mirrors. This program nurtures children's ability to identify their own experiences and perspectives and to seek out, care about and respect those of others. The sessions unpack topics that lend themselves to diverse experiences and perspectives—for example, faith heritage, public service, anti-racism and prayer. The program teaches that there are always multiple viewpoints and everyone's viewpoint matters.

Wrapping Up Our 2016 - 2017 Fiscal Year!

As we complete our fiscal year on 06/30/17, it is important that we know all of our expenses for the entire year.

Here's how YOU can help:  If you have made a purchase on behalf of UUSP but have not yet reported that purchase to the Treasurer, please do so before 07/31/17. If you want to be reimbursed for the expense, fill out the appropriate form in the office, attach your receipt, and you will receive a check. If you prefer to donate your purchase price to the church, fill out the appropriate form for that, and we will include your donation in your contribution statement.

Either way, we will have a more accurate picture of how much we spent in the fiscal year if we have your expenses included. If you have any questions about this, contact Sally Carville. And THANK YOU for helping keep our finances in apple pie order!
