UU St. Pete InfoNet: Flower Communion

Flower Communion Sunday

Pluck a blossom, or a few, and bring them to our Easter Sunday service, this Sunday, April 21.   This is to commemorate the Flower Communion ceremony established during World War II in the Prague, Czechoslovakia, Unitarian Church - partly to celebrate Spring, partly to celebrate Easter, and partly to celebrate resistance to the persecution by the Nazis.  Lots of flowers - bring some and take a blossom, or several, home with you - a lovely way to share faith, hope, and love, and the continual resurrection of courage and caring in the human heart.
