UU ST. PETE COVENANT GROUPS meet monthly (or more often if the group prefers) to deepen acquaintance with and appreciation of one another and of life.  A covenant group consists of 7-12 people and is facilitated by a group leader.  The meetings include opportunity for a personal check-in, plus discussion of a more general question of life – and are a  great opportunity to get to know.  The gatherings are held wherever the group chooses – often at a member’s home or at the church.   Currently UUSP has seven covenant groups.  If a group grows beyond 12 people, it usually chooses to seed a new group.   INTERESTED?  Current meeting times are: 3rd Mondays (6:30-8:00pm); 3rd Mondays (7-8:30pm);

4th Tuesdays (7-8:30pm); 2nd Thursdays (4-5:30pm); 1st Saturdays (11-1:00pm for RE parents/childcare provided);

1st Sundays (7-8:30pm); and for snowbirds starting in January each Wednesday (2-3:30pm).  The 6:30pm Monday and 7pm Tuesday groups are new start-up groups and would particularly appreciate new members.  If interested, please contact Pastor Jack (jfdonovan@bellsouth.net).

JANUARY WEDNESDAYS DISCUSSION GROUP starting Wednesday January 10 (10am or 7pm, your choice): Our winter discussion focus will be Becoming Wise: An Inquiry Into the Mystery and Art of Living, by Krista Tibbett.  Krista Tibbett is host of NPR’s On Being and is a recipient of the Peabody Award and the National Humanities Medal.  (Her 400+ interviewees, drawn from in this book, have included diverse esteemed thinkers from poet Mary Oliver to church leader Desmond Tutu to noted biologist Ursula Goodenough to Nobel Peace nominee Buddhist monk Thich Nhat Hanh.
