Children's Religious Education

CHILDREN/YOUTH RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Unitarian Universalist Church of St. Petersburg Religious Education Program for children and youth is to provide religious education which upholds and promotes Unitarian Universalist Principles and Purposes, through the creation of a nurturing and supportive community environment which stimulates, encourages, considers and respects all religious questions.

Children come to the first part of our Sunday service with their parents, then go to their classes directly after the "Time For All Ages" portion of the service.  Classes will be held in the upstairs of Conway Hall from approximately 11:15pm  to 12:15pm.  This gives parents a few moments to unwind after the service and share in coffee and conversation with the adult congregation before collecting their children.

Child Care will be available beginning at 10:00am for parents who would like to participate in morning discussion groups.

For more information about our Children's Religious Education program, or our Children’s Religious Education Committee (see more below),  please call the Church Office at  (727) 898-3294, and someone from RE will  return your call. You can also e-mail your questions to:

The Children's Religious Education Committee (REC) meets the 3rd Sunday of every month at 12:30 p.m. with intermittent meetings planned on an as-needed basis, which will be posted on the RE bulletin board in Conway Hall.  All parents/guardians and anyone who may be interested in the growth and success of the RE program are encouraged to attend meetings.

If you are unable to attend meetings, but would like to help out in the RE program, please see the RE bulletin board in Conway Hall for sign-up sheets to help with upcoming events, if you are interested in volunteering in the classroom or working on a special project with the REC or class, or to donate something on our “wish list.”
