Final FAST Assembly – May 13

The final FAST assembly for the 2018-2019 season is at the Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 1600 54th Street S, in St. Petersburg, May 13, 7:00 pm.  FAST has had a number of accomplishments this year. Fifteen million dollars was put into the 2021 budget by St. Petersburg’s government for Affordable Housing. FASTs pressure on this allotment was a critical part in getting Mayor Kriseman’s to support affordable housing for 2020. Progress continues to be made in encouraging the Pinellas school board to rely less on out of school suspensions. Finally, the chiefs of police of St. Petersburg and Clearwater will be attending the Assembly to listen to FST’s request to investigate instances of racial profiling.

At this assembly there will also be time for each congregation to caucus with its members to present member contributions as part of our investment in the work of FAST..If you are able, please consider investing $200 or more. Otherwise, please contribute what you can. Bring your checkbooks, although credit card readers will be available for those who prefer to charge their investment. Each of us supports the work of FAST through our presence and our financial contributions.

If you have any questions or need a ride, please contact Dave Coale, Pat Fling, or Carol Ulmer.  If you need assistance with mobility, please let us know as there are accessible accommodations available.

Thank you for your commitment to FAST as part of UU St. Pete’s commitment to help build a more just community.
