Guest at Your Table Continues

We share our Guests’ stories during service to raise your awareness about human rights issues that Central Americans face in their home countries, during their treks through Mexico and then at our southern border as they seek asylum in the US.

To participate in a more in-depth look at these human rights issues — join us for the Religious Wednesdays Studies programs on January 9 & 16, which will be informational discussions about justice, or lack there of, at and across borders south of the US. These workshops will be co-facilitated by Rev Jack and Social Justice Co-Chair, Karen Coale, and held at 10am and 7pm on both dates in Conway Hall. Use Office entrance on Arlington Avenue.

Topics for January 9 include:

You can access the articles for the January 9 session by clicking on the above, or stop by the Social Justice table in Gilmour Hall after service this Sunday. To obtains an electronic copy email Karen Coale.

Please continue to share meals with our Guests by placing the cost of those meals in your Guest at Your Table box. On Sunday, January 20, our children will be collecting your boxes with the enclosed donations during the service. It would be most helpful if you would combine your donations into a single check made payable to UU St Pete with Guest at Your Table in the Memo line. That way we can write a single check to the UUSC.
