50th Anniversary Celebration!

Celebrate 50 years of defending freedom with the Pinellas County Chapter of the ACLU of Florida at our 26th Annual Bill of Rights Dinner on Tuesday, March 6! The evening will featuring a keynote address from National ACLU President Susan Herman, and ACLU of Florida Executive Director Howard Simon.

Now more than ever, we are in need of hope while fighting against an administration that has made the erosion of constitutional rights a centerpiece of their agenda. Susan Herman will give insight, wisdom, and some reasons to have hope through these challenging times.

We will also honor two Floridians in recognition of their devotion to fighting for freedom and protecting civil liberties in our community:

  • Nadine Smith, co-founder and CEO of Equality Florida, will receive the Gardner Beckett Civil Liberties Award.
  • Mark Puente, a writer for the Tampa Bay Times, will be honored with the Irene Miller Vigilance in Journalism Award.

Tickets are $50 and include dinner. Purchase your tickets today! For questions, contact Margaret Evans at MBUU@earthlink.net.

We look forward to celebrating with you on March 6!
